Heather Beyers is a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 30 years of nursing experience. She is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the National Certification Corporation (NCC) and is licensed to practice in Alaska and Illinois.

Originally from a small rural farming community in central Illinois, Heather spent nearly five decades there before relocating to Alaska. Her rural roots and years of experience caring for individuals and families in underserved communities have shaped her deep appreciation for the unique challenges people face in accessing quality mental health care.

Heather provides compassionate, personalized psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults. She offers comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, medication management, and education to help patients better understand and participate in their care. She also has a special interest in women’s mental health, supporting patients through pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, and other life transitions that can affect emotional well-being.

Her approach is holistic and evidence-based, recognizing that mental health is influenced by many factors, including life experiences, physical health, relationships, and hormonal changes. Heather works closely with each patient to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their goals, values, and unique circumstances.

Above all, Heather is passionate about helping individuals and families build resilience, improve their mental well-being, and feel empowered throughout their mental health journey.
