Psychiatric Services
At Transformation Counseling, psychiatric services are designed to support children, teens, and adults ages 6 and older who may benefit from psychiatric evaluation, diagnostic clarification, medication management, and coordinated mental health care.
Psychiatric care can be helpful for concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood instability, ADHD-related symptoms, trauma-related symptoms, emotional or behavioral concerns in children and teens, sleep-related mental health concerns, and difficulty functioning at home, school, work, or in relationships.
Our approach to psychiatric care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. We take time to understand each person’s symptoms, history, strengths, current stressors, and goals for care. When medication may be appropriate, we work with clients and families to discuss options, benefits, risks, and preferences so treatment decisions are informed and personalized.
Medication can be an important part of mental health treatment, but it is not the whole picture. We believe psychiatric care is most effective when it considers the whole person, including emotional health, relationships, environment, trauma history, nervous system regulation, physical health, sleep, and daily functioning. When helpful, we coordinate with therapists, primary care providers, schools, caregivers, and other supports to promote continuity of care.
Our goal is to provide psychiatric services in a safe, respectful, inclusive, and LGBTQIA2S+ affirming environment where clients and families feel heard, supported, and actively involved in their treatment.
