We are especially interested in Alaska-licensed clinicians who are passionate about inclusive, client-centered, and trauma-informed care. This W-2 employment position is designed for clinicians who want professional autonomy while also receiving meaningful support within a collaborative group practice environment.

We provide administrative support, billing support, electronic health record access, referral support, secure communication tools, client onboarding assistance, and opportunities for clinical collaboration—so clinicians can focus more fully on providing high-quality care.

Position Overview

The licensed mental health clinician will provide outpatient therapy services to clients within their scope of practice, training, licensure, and areas of clinical competence. Services may include individual therapy, family therapy, parent support, couples counseling, and/or group therapy.

The ideal candidate will be strongly trauma-informed and have training or experience in body-based, brain-body, or other healing approaches that work with both the mind and body. Clinicians who work with children, teens, and families are especially encouraged to apply.

Primary Responsibilities

The clinician will provide compassionate, ethical, trauma-informed outpatient counseling services while maintaining appropriate clinical documentation, treatment plans, progress notes, risk assessments, and other required records in the electronic health record.

Responsibilities include completing clinical assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, providing ongoing psychotherapy, monitoring client progress, updating goals as appropriate, and responding to safety concerns in accordance with legal, ethical, and practice standards.

The clinician will communicate professionally with clients, families, referral sources, schools, medical and psychiatric providers, insurance representatives, and other care team members with appropriate consent. The clinician will also collaborate with practice leadership, administrative staff, billing staff, and other clinicians to support coordinated care and smooth practice operations.

All clinicians are expected to maintain professional boundaries, ethical standards, cultural humility, HIPAA compliance, timely documentation, active licensure, and inclusive, affirming care for clients of all identities, backgrounds, relationships, family structures, neurotypes, genders, sexualities, and lived experiences.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must hold an active, unrestricted professional license in Alaska as a mental health clinician, such as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, psychologist, or other independently licensed behavioral health provider.

Qualified applicants must be legally authorized to provide outpatient mental health services in Alaska and remain in good standing with their licensing board.

Applicants should demonstrate strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, documentation, communication, collaboration, and risk-assessment skills. They must also be comfortable using electronic health records, telehealth platforms, secure messaging, and other basic technology used in outpatient practice.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to clinicians with experience providing outpatient counseling services to children, adolescents, and families.

Experience working with trauma, complex PTSD, attachment wounds, neurodivergence, substance use concerns, co-occurring mental health needs, LGBTQIA2S+ clients, rural communities, military-connected clients, or clients navigating complex systems is highly valued.

Additional preference will be given to clinicians with training or experience in trauma-informed and brain/body-based treatment approaches.

Ideal candidates are clinically curious, collaborative, inclusive, affirming, and committed to ongoing professional growth.

We value the skill, training, and emotional labor clinicians bring to this work. This W-2 position offers competitive compensation that reflects licensure, experience, clinical specialties, schedule, and caseload, along with meaningful practice support including administrative assistance, billing support, EHR access, referral support, and team collaboration.
